The cooperation between Yconic, Canada’s top student platform, and Scotiabank intends to provide scholarships to Canadian and international students aged 16 and up. The contenders will compete for one of five awards worth a total of $80,000.

About Scotiabank Scholarship 2023-20241
The Scotiabank national scholarship 2023 aims to recognize Canadian students and overseas students studying in Canada for pursuing their academic ambitions while also assisting them in alleviating the financial burden of paying for their education. The winning candidates will get a total prize of up to $80,000.
“At Scotiabank, we realize that the expense of everything from tuition fees and books to everyday living makes student life expensive,” says Emily Field, Vice President of Unsecured Lending at Scotiabank. “They are happy to join with yconic and give the Scotiabank National Scholarship because of this. The goal is to keep students focused on their studies rather than their money accounts.”
Since 2003, Scotiabank and yconic have been working together. The two organizations announced a long-term, expanded cooperation in January 2014, which included $750,000 in new financial prizes for Canadian high school and post-secondary students. Scotiabank and yconic aim to make students’ life easier by promoting financial awareness and providing new financial options.

Scholarship Requirements
Eligible Nationality:
This grant is mostly for students from Canada and other countries.
This Scotiabank National Scholarship is primarily aimed at qualified yconic members who meet the following criteria:
- Citizens of Canada, permanent residents of Canada, and international students with a valid student visa are all eligible (permit must be for one year or longer)
- At the time of application, you must be 16 years old or older.
- Students in high school or CEGEP who plan to enroll in a certificate, diploma, or degree program at a Canadian college, university, or trade school in the 2023/2024 academic year OR
- Post-secondary students enrolling or preparing to enroll in a certificate, diploma, or degree program at a Canadian college, university, or trade school in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Scholarship Benefits
A $5,000 scholarship is awarded by Scotiabank to 15 deserving applicants. You’ll be considered for a chance to win one of five $1,000 Early Bird Prizes if you apply by September.
The 12 winners of the Scotiabank National Scholarship have been announced by StudentAwards. A total of $30,000 will be awarded to twelve students.
A total of $80,000 is awarded as part of the scholarship.
