Job Summary

To ensure smooth and efficient operations in the Production department, manage and supervise the effective execution of all production activities during the corresponding shifts.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in the execution of DCP’s production plan.
  • Ensure all production equipment are operated in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor control process units from clinker silo extraction to cement silo filling in the Plant at every point in time.
  • Ensure raw materials – clay, laterite and limestone – for cement production are properly crushed to achieve preset quality targets.
  • Supervise emplyees to ensure all conveyor belts in the unit are clean and free from jamming.

  • Coordinate all production staff during respective shift to ensure uninterrupted activities at the plant.

Requirements

Job Summary

Perform a variety of tasks pertaining to fabrication, installation, maintenance, repair and service of mechanical equipment, instruments and structures used within the plant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Shift Technicians to identify problematic equipment nd machines in the plant and effect repairs promptly.

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the MIPS schedule.

  • Coordinate and direct the activities of the instrumentation staff to ensure that the reliability and availability of plant systems and equipment.
  • Oversee the maintenance of existing plant instrumentation facilities and equipment; replacement and adjustments to plant facilities where necessary.
  • Ensure cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures and manpower and initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
  • Track, analyse and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilisation, maintenance cost, schedule compliance, etc.
  • Direct, maintain and enforce the safety program for the maintenance department; review safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance engineers and technicians.
  • Coordinate activities and communicate with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.
